The client approached Nicknack at a time when there was great uncertainty as to the implementation of legislation which would set a price on carbon emissions. Nicknack understood the future challenges that faced the company and set about developing an identity that would add to its credibility and position it as an expert. The key insight came from understanding the client’s business – emissions auditing services. In other words, it was businesses who were the final consumers. This clarity of audience focused the positioning on business competence, which further informed design and messaging to achieve a sophisticated, businesslike, approachable look and feel.
