Rob Jenkins Photography - JUMP!
Many years ago, I saw a black & white portrait of a young couple standing side by side, in front of a window. It was an informal setting, shot indoors, both subjects looking quite happy and relaxed. A quite ordinary image, but for one subtle detail - they were both about 6 inches off the floor. At the moment the shutter clicked, they had jumped! Neither their hair, clothes or body language betrayed the action, just the air beneath their feet. Fantastic!
That photograph, and my reaction to it, have stayed with me, and even inspired me to pay homage, albeit in my own inimitable fashion. The following images appear courtesy of my friends, and fellow photographers, who have kindly pointed a camera in my direction when I felt the urge to jump!

I'm English, but don't hold that against me.
I once walked across my country for fun, jumped out of a perfectly good aeroplane attached to a small piece of silk, panned for gold in Alaska, and have stood at the lowest & highest points in the contiguous United States.
I also take pictures of children, and love it! The serendipitous nature of each child is a constant joy, and a challenge to capture. I photograph exclusively on location, both indoors & out, using natural light where I can. I also cross my fingers a lot.
I live in Hoboken, NJ, across the Hudson river from Manhattan, with my wife and two daughters, all of whom have red hair. I have grey hair.
